City of Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Master Plan and Theater Improvements

The City of Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza consists of both performance Theatres and City Hall functions. The original facility has been plagued with confusing circulation and an awkward link to parking. Kaplan Chen Kaplan prepared an overall master plan for projects intended to clarify circulation, link the parking structure with the theater entry and simplify access for those having business with the City. The project includes landscape and covered walkways to direct circulation with added finishes, lighting and signage. The Theatre will have a new entry canopy and lit outdoor space for functions and a gathering place before performances.
